During the past week: car serviced, fencing mended (the strong winds had done their worst) and had a new combi-boiler installed with a filter included to ward-off or at least help with the chalky deposits we get in our area, hard water wreaks havoc to a boiler I'm told. So now I'm feeling a bit more 'winter ready'. I slept so well last night, the house is cosy and warm, plus a beautiful supply of warm water for long baths to relax in. Will also save me having to cross-fingers whenever I have visitors requiring a shower, a bit more dependable - I used to sometimes get a head would emerge from the en-suite, saying something like "Well that was bracing!" and I'd realise they'd suffered an ice cold spray ...personally I prefer a nice warm spray myself ;-)
